Mrs. Chelsea Tinsley
Corporate Work Study Coordinator

Chelsea Tinsley graduated with a BA in Marketing and a BS in Building Construction from the University of Florida and a Masters in Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University. She then began her career in real estate private equity at Markel|Eagle Partners in Richmond, Virginia. During her tenure at Markel|Eagle, she began academic mentoring for youth in Richmond at Higher Achievement. Academic mentoring became her gateway into education, and she then transitioned to teaching middle school science with Richmond City Public Schools. During her first year in the classroom, she completed the Post Baccalaureate Teacher Licensure Program at Mary Baldwin University and earned her teaching license with endorsements in both middle school science and marketing education. Following her service with Richmond City, she taught with Hanover County Public Schools at Patrick Henry High School for four years as a high school marketing and economics teacher. At Patrick Henry, she was also a co-advisor for the DECA chapter, a co-curricular marketing student organization consisting of 300 members. As a DECA advisor, she coached students through marketing competitions at the district, state and national levels. She also managed a cooperative education program in which her students received high school credit for working. She looks forward to bringing her experience in both education and business to train our students to be successful in the workplace.
