Mr. James Sirmans
History Teacher

James Sirman’s career began at Richard Bland College immediately after high school, where he did two years before transferring to Virginia Commonwealth University for both his Bachelors in History and Masters in Teaching. From his experiences from various school environments, James has accumulated a desire to see students grow, prosper and achieve their full potentials going into the classroom and beyond. His mission is to see that, by the time of college, students are equipped with the necessary skills and techniques to not only survive but thrive in the university environment.
In addition to this, James brings his passion for history to the classroom. He enjoys answering questions that are given to him by students and, if he’s unable to answer immediately, researching information relevant to students’ historical interest. With this, James hopes his love for world history will be personally adopted by those learning in his classroom.
